Off the Shoulder, In Denim

The summer of 2016 is all about showing off your shoulders. Every magazine of the May issue has off shoulders in the trends section. Clothes that make you feel good about yourself are a definite buy and off shoulders do a perfect job in making you feel both bold and pretty. (At least that's the case with me!)

The off shoulder top that I've donned in this post is super comfortable and chic. I had been looking for something in denim for months so getting this top was like hitting the jackpot.
As all my readers know by now, I'm a sucker for clothes that are comfortable. Thus, the comfortable white shorts!
I personally feel, a choker is the only accessory which should be styled with off shoulder tops. The floral choker is one of my own creations. The beautiful brooch goes perfectly with this denim off shoulder top, making my outfit look much more appealing.

Runway to New Zealand- The Think New Collection.

Education New Zealand and The Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) hosted the "Runway to New Zealand" event at the Hyatt Regency. 12 fashion students (6 from New Zealand and 6 from India) got the opportunity to pair up in twos and compete against each other for a two-week long internship at the two best fashion colleges of New Zealand.
The setup was really attractive and pretty. With the basic white ramp, blue lighting and glowing chandeliers, the entire room had an enthusiastic feel to it.
After His Excellency Grahame Morton and Sunil Sethi briefed the crowd with how the one month went for these students and what exactly the event is, I got to visualize one of the finest designs I've ever seen.

With Varun Bahl, Rina Dhaka, Amit Agarwal and Rohit Bal as the judges, the event without saying was crowd pleasing.
I was in love with the styles of each outfit I saw that night. From necks to the arm designs, it was truly beautiful. Loved how the participating students had mixed this generation's taste with the culture of New Zealand and India.

My favorite was the black net cape. The best part was that it was made by cutting an old silk saree!

What A Shaadi App Launch

What A Shaadi app is the app which will make your job easier when a wedding is around the corner. This is your go-to-place when you're at a lookout for the right artists who will help you plan a wedding. This app offers exclusive deals, helps you find a venue, gets you a list of designers and everything else in your budget. In a nutshell, they will make sure that your special day turns out to be everything that you ever dreamed it to be.
To introduce this app, the team of What A Shaadi hosted a bloggers' meet for around 20 bloggers at Levels, Hauz Khas Village.
There was a fun picture booth where you could get pictures clicked. I loved how the ceiling was covered with hangings of this app's official logo.
I got to meet many new bloggers of Delhi and also got to interact with Natasha and Sneha. (Co-founders of the app!)
They gave me an insight and told me everything that I needed to know about the app.

Loved the goodie bag which they gave to each blogger. It had chocolates, tassel earrings and kaleere!

These are some of the weddings in which the team of What A Shaadi played a major role-

Sephora Relaunch At Select Citiwalk

Last Friday, Select Citiwalk was buzzing with performances that were happening right outside the Sephora store for it's relaunch.
I tried on the products and got my makeup done. Not fond of makeup but the people working at Sephora made me love the way I looked after applying makeup!
Though huge changes weren't made to the store, the small changes were good enough to please every person who was present at the relaunch.
In the exclusives, Michael Kors fragrances have been added to the store for the ladies and Ralph Lauren for the men (finally!)
The entire store has been categorized and with the help of the lit up boards, you can easily spot where each section is.
The one addition which I personally loved was the Benefit brow bar which is permanent now. (Yes, you read it right)
Along with these changes, a new lip gloss collection has been added to Estee Lauder. Dior has come up with a new multi perfection cream. Benefit has introduced the Pore Professional in a new bottle.

We also got a goodie bag by the end of the relaunch which had products from Benefit. Here's what I got-

The Ultra Plush Icebreaker is a must buy! Love the way it smells.

Best of Asian Designer Week 2016- Day02

As I entered gate no. 19 of the JLN Stadium for the second day of ADW, I had absolutely no idea what kind of shows I'll be seeing for the next couple of hours.
The clothes presented on the second day were glitzy and outstanding. Many times during the shows, I felt short of words because the clothes were flawless and way ahead of my expectations.
All the designers got me head over heels but the one designer which took my heart away was Arshi Jamal. (Lucknow) His collection was completely devoted to bridal couture. With bright color lehengas, exquisite embroidery and mind blowing thread work, his collection was next to perfect.
The best work of Day 02 according to me are-
