Get To Know Your Designer: Nitya Bajaj Birla

People usually don't know much about designers. But I intend on changing that. It's time to know what the Indian designers are like.
Designers are the ones who have the talent to create something magical for us. The work they do is their super power.

Nitya Bajaj Birla is a rising designer who is marking her territory in the fashion world. She graduated from NIFT Delhi in 2008 and ever since then, she's become a hotshot. After admiring her work for years, I finally put my foot down and decided to have a tete-a-tete with her.

How has your journey been since you graduated from NIFT?
It has been challenging but exciting. Everyday has taught me, made me wiser and stronger and has helped in my evolution.

As a designer, how do you keep yourself inspired, season after season?
Inspiration comes from anything and everything. Sometimes a vacation can inspire and sometimes even a butterfly in your garden. It's about observing beauty and art around you!

How would you describe your label in one word?

3 people from history you would have liked to dress.
As label Nitya Bajaj celebrates womanhood, each of these women have qualities that match our brand esthetics. Audrey Hepburn for her innate sense of style, Princess Diana for her elegance and Noor Jehah from our considering she was clever, smart and beautiful in that male dominant rule.

One advice for the youth that's entering the fashion world.
Explore yourself as that will become your future one day.

One thing people must know about you.
That I have great taste and eye for things and a fabulous sense of humor.

Nitya was kind enough to answer the rapid fire questions too for the readers!

India Runway Week 2016

This weekend happens to be all about the India Runway Week. For those who haven't heard of this one, IRW is a platform for budding designers to showcase their talent. I personally happen to be a sucker for details because that is what truly shows you a designer's hard work. Let's give some credit to the designers who were a part of this fashion week as they presented some amazing clothes on the ramp!
Here's some of the details and outfits I adored-

Until next time.

Boho Vibes

After going through a really bad year (BOARDS), I'm finally back to full-time blogging.

Summers are here so it means that it's time to let go of the sugary food and get into shape. (I, as a matter of fact, completely hate this)
If you've recently been to a mall, you would know for sure that the summer of 2016 is all about boho clothes. I'm super excited as I'm a sucker for boho clothes. The best part about boho is that it suits every body shape and size.

Top- Janpath; Shorts- Benetton; Flats- Venus Steps

And as you can see, I did get my hair short. Now this wasn't really my decision. My hair cutter went ahead and cut my hair this short without asking me if I'm okay with it.
Please don't hate my hair or think that I look like an 11 year old!

These types of tops are also available at Forever 21. For those who are looking for kimonos, H&M is your stop!

Until next time.
